Wash Bags - The Underrated Laundry Hero

Wash Bags - The Underrated Laundry Hero

Wash bags are seriously useful for protecting your delicates from hooks and snags from other garments, and if you don’t own any you definitely should, at a minimum to protect your lingerie. But did you know there are other uses for them! Here are five additional ways you can use wash bags, with number 5 maybe being the most unusual!

  1. Washing garments with long ties, loose knits or tiny garments like socks (especially baby socks), bandages or gloves. This helps to prevent these items getting tangled, stretched, torn or lost!

  2. When you travel, chuck a wash bag or two in your suitcase. I always use them to help separate dirty undergarments and socks from the rest of our clean clothes.

  3. If you own multiple wash bags they can also be useful for separating outfits in your suitcase, or if you go camping in your bags. This is especially helpful if you need to pair certain items together and don’t want to rummage around looking for all the bits and pieces. You can also use them to store toiletries in when you travel.

  4. You can use them to store hair ties, scrunchies and headbands in, keeping them organized and easy to locate when the morning rush hits!

  5. A bit of a more unorthodox use, is to store beach toys or bath toys in them. Perfect for beach trips and keeping the bathroom tidy. You could also use them for storing produce - though my advice if you want to do that is to have separate ones for produce than the ones you use in your washing machine!

These small tips should help you to maximise your wash bags, keep things tangle free, tidy,  sorted when you travel or visit the beach or simplify your morning rush.
